Definition
Establish characterization and testing methodology for new photonic materials used in detection, imaging and solar energy applications. Design custom characterization and test; equipment, test methods, and protocols. Establish operating procedures, quality systems, and validation plans to ensure integrity of results. Create robust data management and data reduction systems for corporate wide reporting and analytical purposes. Execute tests and reduce data to deliver accurate results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Design custom imaging sensor test equipment, instrumentation and software systems for characterization, test of prototype detectors, and imaging test chips and products.
Develop test methods and test protocols to effectively perform R&D characterization and product design verification to both internal and external quality standards.
Write TestStand code for running the autoprober test
Write LabVIEW code for autoprober testing and database interactions
Merge relevant process engineering, metrology and electro-optical device parameters into a single coherent database and tracking system.
Work with product development teams to set specifications, execute effective DFT, feedback and feed forward test data to current designs, release data sheets and other technical publications.
Perform prober test data analysis (via JMP or similar tool); summarize prober test data, present lot/wafer summary to the team.
Lead the effort to communicate with wafer probing vendor for imaging products. Optimize overall product test procedure flow for both of wafer and package level test.
Monitor product yield and work with product design team and process engineering team to enhance the yield.
Some travel will be required, both domestic and international.
Qualifications
Knowledge of basic imaging sensor prober test flow and data processing.
Familiarity with production class automated imaging sensor wafer probing systems required.
A working knowledge of imaging devices, optics is highly desired. CONFIDENTIAL AND PROPRIETARY INFORMATION PROPERTY OF SIONYX INC.
Good communication skills in order to present results to internal and external teams are essential.
Familiarity with industry leading database architectures, scripting languages and data reduction techniques required.
A working knowledge of commercial testing and quality standards (IEC 60601, ISO13489, ISO16949) and environmental, reliability and electrical safety testing is required.
Use of mathematical and statistical analysis tools required.
Education and Experience
Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering with over 5 years commercial characterization and test experience.
Minimum 2 years experience with LabVIEW in a test environment.
Experience with Mixed-Signal PCB design to manufacture (schematic capture, layout, and PCB manufacture and assembly)
Hands on experience developing imaging sensor, custom mixed signal, analog test equipment, and procedures for commercial products.
Experience with government and commercial test standards (MIL-SPEC 883) is desired.
